Themed Entertainment Creative Workshop Series

I participated as a graphic designer in the inaugural pitch deck program, a multi-disciplinary, accelerated workshop series developed and led by some of the best minds in Themed Entertainment. Our team was mentored by the workshop’s founder, Morgane Keesling. We were given the prompt ‘Dragon Family Boat Ride’ and had less than four weeks to complete a full blue sky pitch deck which we presented to our peers, mentors, and guests from the industry.

HOPE: Voyage to Nivalia

Our attraction, “HOPE: Voyage to Nivalia”, takes guests on an exciting and awe inspiring adventure to a lava ice planet where dragons abound. This attraction would fit into a larger theme park where guests can become HOPE (Honorable Organization of Protectors and Explorers) agents and join exciting missions to other worlds within each attraction. You can read our full treatment written by Rose Bueno here.

While my role mostly entailed creating the pitch deck, I also designed various other aspects of the attraction. I created the HOPE logo, preshow artwork, attraction poster, marquee, attendant costume, merchandise, ID cards, and the ‘Draconite’ interactive all of which can be seen in detail below.

This HOPE study houses our attraction’s preshow featuring a holographic column used to introduce our protagonist, Eri, and the portal to the load station.

Draconite Stone Interactive

The attraction centers around the journey to return these Draconite stones to a special altar in Nivalia so it was essential to feature them in our queue. I designed this ice structure to contain them on the tables within the lab. They respond to different haptic feedback and prompt the screens above to produce Draconite facts.
